early morning to get to the airport. Jaipur airport was somewhat challenging. It was hard to find the right line to be in. Our boarding passes were stamped and restamped and they even stamped them at the other end. So shoes get dropped off at one place. carry-on goes somewhere else, then ladies and gents have separate lines. Ladies go to screened off areas for a scan and pat down. Then trying to find your shoes and luggage again was a challenge. then we went and sat in a waiting area. When our flight came up they had shuttle busses to get us to the plane. Once we got to Bengaluru we had to collect our luggage and go through security again and start the whole process again.

Once we arrived in Pune we were waiting for Rebecca. She was taking the bus from Mumbai. There was a problem with her bus which we did not know. It was delayed. Rebecca's phone was not getting a signal and the battery of her Indian phone had died so she could not get a hold of us and visa verse. It was a scary situation all around. It was also bad because when she finally arrived at the bus station the Compass people were meeting her but they did not identify themselves. Just told her to get in the car. Finally then her phone was working. I got a text from her "who am I with and where am I going?" Very scary. But we did finally connect. Whew.
While we were waiting for Rebecca we went to a wine shop to get supplies for Miraj.

The airport security process sounds like quite the adventure. Glad you were able to connect up with Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteFor people who don't know, this blog was from January 27.
ReplyDeleteWas that wine picture before or after you got the wine. :) From your comments, a little wine would have been good.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Rebecca was able to meet up with you successfully!
