My new jacket which I have really needed.

We continued to explore the streets of the Back Bay area, including Newbury St.
interesting homes

This is a store full of Singer sewing machines.  Unfortunately the reflextions make it difficult to see.

We found a fun chocolate shop, LA Burdick.  A nice sit down break with hot chocolate.  It was that kind of a day.

We got to the city library

Tortoise and the Hare sculpture

This is up high on the side of the ex-John Hancock building (now called 200 Clarendon).  I looked it up.  It is by an artist JR and it was installed this September and will be taken down in November.  It is perforated vinyl.  It was a surprise installation.

Green way walk it was very pretty.  We now had to move it to get to our food tour

happy hour and dinner

Once we got to Copley Square we looked around a bit and then went to the Prudential Building to the Top of the Hub - the 52nd floor of the Prudential Building for sunset.  That was the plan.  Little did we know that the bar faces east.  Oh well.  Luckily they had a hallway we could walk down to see the sunset.

Then we walked a very short distance to Brasserie Jo for a French dinner

It came with carrots
Jeanne and I shared a brussel sprout salad that was like a coleslaw

and a beet salad and Coq au Vin

We took a cab home and called it a night.

Duck Tour and explore the North End

After lunch we were heading back to the Aquarium where we were to meet up with the Duck Tour.  We walked along the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.  This was the green space that was put in when they built the underground freeway and tore down the above ground freeway.
