My new jacket which I have really needed.

We continued to explore the streets of the Back Bay area, including Newbury St.
interesting homes

This is a store full of Singer sewing machines.  Unfortunately the reflextions make it difficult to see.

We found a fun chocolate shop, LA Burdick.  A nice sit down break with hot chocolate.  It was that kind of a day.

We got to the city library

cool courtyard inside the library.
end point of the Boston Marathon.

Tortoise and the Hare sculpture

This is up high on the side of the ex-John Hancock building (now called 200 Clarendon).  I looked it up.  It is by an artist JR and it was installed this September and will be taken down in November.  It is perforated vinyl.  It was a surprise installation.

horse sculpture done by the same artist as the Portland Airport horses

Green way walk it was very pretty.  We now had to move it to get to our food tour

  1. I was wondering about the horse. I'm glad you gave a comment on it. It certainly did look like her work. I love those horses at PDX. It appears to be a little grey there. As long as it is only grey because the grey is raining here. The Singer sewing machines. Was that a sewing shop? Those looked like pretty old machines.
Is the street corner of Newbury and Dartmouth special? Am I suppose to know that corner? It certainly looks like a good time of the year to be there. The trees are beautiful.
