Saturday 2 Museums and a lot of walking

I was off kilter this morning.  Somehow my watch reverted back to Portland time so when a woke up and my watch said 4 am I thought I would force myself to stay in bed.  But I started hearing people moving around so I got up.  It was 7 am and I was the last one up!!  Sometimes I find these modern convenences frustrating when they do not work correctly!!

i had a lot of problems doing the blog on Saturday.  I lost some pictures and had a very frustrating time.  I had to reformat my SD card.  Luckily Jeanne had her laptop so she could do that.  It seems to be working today.

What a day.  We headed out about 9 am this morning.  First official stop -  La Columba for coffee and treats.

Even though it was less than a mile it took us an hour to walk it.  Lots of unofficial stops to take pictures.  We wandered through Rittenhouse Square.  After our coffee we hailed a cab to get to the Museum of Art.  We hiked up the 70 some "Rocky" steps.

Then we went for lunch at the restaurant in the museum.  Granite Hill - arty French bistro fare

After lunch we headed to the Rodin Musum.  

While we were there a wedding party came by for photographs.  An interesting thing.  One of the common places to take wedding photos is in front of the "Gates of Hell" sculpture!!

By this time I was very tired.  We headed home for some sit-down.

We caught a bus to go to the Amada Restaurant for dinner.  We had a 7 pm reservation.  

They did not seat us until 7:30 pm but we ended out in a nice booth.  To appologize for making us wait they brought us 3 complementary tapas. Wow that was nice.  So much delicious food.  What an amazing place.  The same chef (Jose Garces) started this restaurant and Distrito, which we went to Thursday night.  2 entirely different styles but both very delicious food.

After dinner we caught a cab to go to Dual Piano Bar.  But once we got there we found that it was not there.  Another bar was in its place.  Tap.  The owner was out front and talked us into going it for a free drink.  We accepted.  They were very nice.  At this point we were not interested in a beer but they did have a few choices of wines and Jeanne had a wine

On the walk home we came to the Blues Bar - Time.  We had heard about it from our watress at Amada so we stopped in.  They had a band.  It was very crowded with no place to sit down so Jeanne and I went home and left Sharon and Kris there.  They did not stay much longer.
