We started the day with a 3.2 mile walk around the lake. very leisurely because we had to stop and take pictues. It is still very pretty and they are trying to deal with the trash.
Kris and Wendy Riber stopped in for a short visit. We gave Kris and Wendy a lift back into town.
Then we did one more walk through the school and turned in our visitor badges. We went to a little grocery store that we used to go to, Spencers. That was fun. We all bought 5 star bars.
Then it was time for our boating on the lake. That was fun. I rowed a while then Debbie did and then we rowed together. They let us go out without a rower person. That was nice.
Then we hit a few more shops before wandering up to Bruce and Ann Peck's home for a relaxing drink before dinner. What a view we could tell it would have been fabulous but the fog was starting to come in. I still enjoyed it.
Bruce gave us a ride back to the Carlton. We got there just in time for dinner.
Another full day.
our rooms are in the middle of the top floor
view of the boat house from the bund
Chinese boat house is still there
This was a cute little shop that had signs that said it was open but we never could find the bell to ring
Debbie got some great bird and flower photos with her zoom
a lot of choices
you can rent horses and bikes
Then we relaxed a bit before meeting our driver to go to a friends house for lunch. Bob Granner was a music teacher way back when, now he has a small place which is gorgeous with a lot of flowers.
We had a delicious lunch of quiche, beets and carrots and a chocolate pie for dessert.

Visitor badges? Jim and I never got those, but of course that was a looong time ago. Sounds like a really nice day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the really nice photos. It's easy to see why Kodai is considered a resort.
ReplyDeleteAhoy mateys! It is certainly beautiful in Kodai. So nice there are still people you know from way back when and were able to connect with them during your stay.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your pictures
