Fiesole

Around 7:30 pm last night we left the hotel and walked to a close bus stop.  We bungled our way through the bus ticket buying system.  We ended out needing a little help since all the instructions were in Italian.  Oh well.  We had to wait about 20 min for the bus but once on we could relax.  Fiesole is a little hill town close to Florence.  We were going up for the view of the city.  We were up at the bus stop in Fiesole in about 1/2 hour.  It was funny because we were not sure where the restaurant was going to be and we got of the bus and there it was.  We did not have to look around at all. Ristorante Aurora.  It was a hotel restaurant.  What a view!! Well worth it.

The food and wine were fabulous as well.  We all had the asparagus risotto.  Then Joyce and I split a pork tenderloin.  It was so tender.  Sharon, Kris and Jeanne shared an antipasti before the risotto. We all shared a zucchini dish and a spinach flan. When it was time to leave we came out from the restaurant the bus was right there.  How lucky was that.  Another full day.

  1. Nice view. That must be a soccer field in the stadium below. Glad the buses worked out.
