Barcelona Taste: Poble Sec Food Tour

We met in front of the El Molino Theater. We had 2 others join our group.
First stop Koska.  It was more of a Basque type restaurant.

fritata

tuna tartar

Cuttlefish stew

beef cheeks

I hope that you all appreciate my willingness to try everything.  One bite at least.  I also have been choosing whichever drink is the local specialty.  That, at least, has been no hardship!

As we were walking to the next place we walked through a demonstration.  We did not tell them that we were tourists.  ;-)

Next stop La Platilleria

cod salad

garlic-tomato toast

Ramiro, our guide, was showing us how to put the garlic and tomato on the toast.

potato and aeoli

sweetbread (not a highlight for me)

short ribs, which were delicious

dog park - I took this for you, Joyce.

sunset

for dessert

cute glasses

cheesecake type dessert, my favorite.

a creme brulee type dessert

Ramiro got us back to the beginning again.  We could head home.  Long day with over 22,000 steps!

  2. I can see that the cuttlefish and sweetbread guts are not your favorites...

  3. I'm seeing lots of food that I would not expect you to like.

I got Dad a kelp salsa for his birthday - it sounds like something you'd like, now that you've become such an adventurous eater!
