We met in the lobby at 5 pm but then found out we were in the wrong place. Finally found where we were supposed to be. Federico is our fearless leader. He talked to us about the schedule and all other pertinant information. When we gathered to go to our walk-about and dinner we all chose our buddies. Rick Steves has a good system for making sure everyone is together.

Appetizers: ham
tomato toast
potatoes
bringing in the salad
goat cheese, walnuts, balsamic vinegrete salad
Vegetable paella (yes, paella two meals in a row)
creme brulee, Crema Catalana, dessert
Then some of us headed off to the majic fountain. We took the metro.
We got there just in time to see the very tail end of the light show!! DARN. We thought it was supposed to go from 9 to 11. We got there about 10:25 pm. Come to find out it ended at 10:30pm.
headed back to the hotel.
The buddy system seems like a great idea. Sorry you didn't get to see more of the light show.
